Hongtao Zhou, a University of Wisconsin – madison graduate art student recently created ‘ice and snow furniture’. the icy furniture

Defenestration by Brian Goggins

The installation was created by local artist Brian Goggins and it has been housed by this abandoned four-story building sitting at the corner of 6th street and Howard street in San Fransiscio, California, since 1997. This multi-disciplinary sculptural mural involves seemingly animated furniture : tables, chairs, lamps, grandfather clocks, a refrigerator, and couches, their bodies bent like centipedes, fastened to the walls and window-sills, their insect-like legs seeming to grasp the surfaces.
